The last time I made a mistake in the darkroom was 1 year ago. I cut the film and turned on the light before I found there was still 1/3 of the film in the roll. 2 frames were destroyed. This time, the number is 37. A whole roll.

After I finished loading one roll onto the reel, one of my roommate came back. I asked her to keep the lights off for just another 5 mins because I got one more roll to load. She failed to understand what I was doing. In order to explain, I reached for the tank but only to pushed it down to the ground. The roll came out in light. The incident was very short in my memory, I thought I put it back in less than 1 sec. But that was only my expectation. Plus, the film is ISO 400 Tri-X. Nothing survived.

The developed film is completely dark, well, actually is white. As I looking at the film, I realized that I can't really recall what I photographed in the roll. Only 2 or 3 frames did I remember, which I was so looking forward to see. When I told my friend about the accident. He asked, was there anything important you took? I said, everything is important. I am not very productive these days - this roll took me 1 month to finish. Yet I took every photo very carefully. I know exactly what I was taking and what I expected to see. Now they are just gone. It's like 37 pieces of your memory were erased.

Ironically, I was using a Pentax DSLR this afternoon and reassured myself that it's not my toy. I never learned to use a DSLR. Looking at the LCD after taking a photo always freaks me out. Not to mention the awful operation on the modern DSLR - I can act a lot faster on my G2. With DSLRs, I always doubt if the image really exists after I take it. But I always know the pictures are there, with film cameras. I don't need to look at the LCD to see if it's good or I need some adjustment. All I have to do is concentrating on the viewfinder and releasing the shutter. The best camera let you forget its existence.

I think I'll keep this roll as a warning. Do not make stupid mistakes again.

周四与szeller同学去看了Staatskapelle Dresden，原计划曲目是贝三钢协和查拉斯特拉如是说，很奇怪为啥没有序曲，开演发现一上来竟然先是梯尔恶作剧，异常兴奋。乐团不错，一听就是德国团的声儿。后一首贝三钢协，钢琴是Emmanuel Ax，非常非常令人失望。。。乐团这时候也不灵，演起古典曲目就露馅儿了。查拉斯特拉如是说还不错，开头比想象的要震撼，管风琴也还行。后来szeller发来了亚洲巡演的完整曲目

我真愿意用贝三换另外任意一首没演的曲目。。。满眼的Richard Strauss啊！其实这团演的理查还是不够紧凑，不过以后只要是德国团来演晚期浪漫曲目都可以一听。演出的时候广播说可以凭票根去午门参观德累斯顿那个展览，可惜我都去过了，于是乎把票根送szeller，让他携夫人前往。另外，我怀疑我最近听力受损，高频没以前清楚了似乎，而且闭上眼比睁着听的清楚多了，不知道啥毛病。

周六去国展看了摄影展，玩儿了一会儿Leica M8，感觉还不错，但没能如愿玩儿到M7，在玻璃展柜里供着呢。Zeiss展台那玩儿了一下Zeiss Ikon，比较失望，做工手感都一般，还不如我的G2。机身差不多和二手M7一个价格，感觉不值那个钱。本以为可以买到kodak ektar 100的，结果一家卖胶卷的展柜都没发现。。其他什么nikon canon sony的展台看着就不想去，都是搔首弄姿的大妞儿和射她们的大老爷们儿。摄影展说白了跟澡堂子差不多。男的见面互相先盯着对方的家伙看，不过摄影展还有女的可以射，所以应该是洗浴中心。

十一的时候才知道rick wright去世了，最近两周把pink floyd的专辑又翻出来听了听，听到any colour you like的时候真是百感交集...令人难受的时期大概真的要来了：我20多岁的时候听着他们20多岁的时候写的歌，他们自己却一个个都走了。
我突然很羡慕那些周杰伦的歌迷，他们有机会期待每张新专集，而我能做的只是等着讣告。那些reunion concert也只是cold comfort而已。我喜欢concert for george，但我不想看更多。如果大家都走了呢？then rock is truely dead.
